‘Go’ by Chemical Brothers feat. Q-Tip

The electronic geniuses that are the Chemical Brothers have given us another reason to look forward to the summer, with the duo announcing the release of the new album Born in the Echoes, due out on July 17th. Fortunately, the pair have released their first single of the album called ‘Go’ and have collaborated with A Tribe Called Quest’s Q-Tip in order to give fans a taste of what is in store.

For fans of the English electronic duo, you will undoubtedly be aware that this is not their first collaboration with the American rapper. The two combined back in 2005 when they created ‘Galvanize‘ which went on to win a Grammy for Best Dance Recording.

The upbeat and funky track is sure to make a mark this summer, with its retro feel and numerous synths that are reminiscent of German electro powerhouse Kraftwerk. Combine that with Q-Tip’s percussive flow and snappy batch beats and we would say that the musical pros are on for another win. The music video was shot by renowned Academy Award winning director Michel Gondry who is known for directing Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

What was your opinion of the new Chemical Brothers track? Is this collaboration with Q-Tip another success in the making?
